Club K-Farm Fundraising Weekend – April 2017

This is always one of my favourite weekends each year where I get to share my ballooning passion with others for a good cause. Located at Mitchells Flatt is the Korff family which has participated in the iconic Shitbox Rally which raises money for the Cancer Council with the help of friends and family. Now into its 4 year the annual Club K-Farm fundraising weekend allows everyone to camp by the river and participate in assortment of fun activities that are planned. The big event however is the Saturday night themed charity Auction night which is fun night to help a good cause. This year due to a team not entering the rally the money would be donated instead to Motor Neurone Disease NSW.

However, before the big night and much to popular demand we offered some tethered balloon rides in the afternoon which is always great to see people’s reactions to never having seen a hot air balloon before. Weather was on our side this year and we tethered for 2 hours next to the farm house which made for some great aerial photos and lots of enjoyment for those that got involved.
